iactuallyfinishedit!whoop! Name: Vera Braginskaya Nicknames: Verochka, Verka Represents: Sochi City, a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation Human Age: 16-17 Subjects: Gym and Textiles
Personality: Vera is a generally happy person, fun to talk to and accommodating. Vera is a peace loving person and doesn't really like it when people fight, especially when they fight in front of her. She'll then get sort off pissed and (ironically) join in the fight. She’s a sociable person and likes making new friends. She wants people to think well of her so she presents herself well in front of others.
Strength: She’s serious about her work and does it well so things will go as planned. She loves what she does and thinks positive about as much things as possible.
Weaknesses: She’s bad at dealing with big problems. She tries to fix them but sometimes ends up sick after.
Likes: Vera loves the outdoors. She's the kind of person you'd probably expect to see fishing, swimming or playing sports. She also likes to cook and she brings snacks wherever she goes just in case she gets hungry or needs extra energy. She takes an interest in resorts and spas and would like to visit one some time. She also loves tea and prefers to make and grow her own.
Dislikes: Dirt. Vera cleans her place regularly so it’s always nice and clean. She dislikes going to dirty or dusty places. She believes that with dirt comes rats and flies and all those other gross things that she would rather not see.
Talents: Other than outdoor activities, Vera is also quite good with arts and design. She enjoys making her own clothes to wear at home and also some little trinkets to decorate the house.
Flaws: She tends to overdo things when she gets excited. Sometimes, so much she ends up wasting money and regretting it afterwards.
Relations: (mostly from Gym and Textiles)
Albania: She thinks he’s fun to talk to. They’re kinda close.
Belarus: She respects her and believes her to be a strong kind of person. She’s grateful to Belarus for helping her a couple of times. They’re good friends and Vera feels like she can rely on her.
Denmark: They get along fine. He’s a bit loud in her opinion, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Egypt: Vera finds him nice but mysterious. They’re not that close but they get along just fine. She finds his culture cool.
Russia: They are good friends even if he annoys her a few times about even the littlest things. He likes her tea and she takes that as an accomplishment. Since she is a city of his, she greatly respects him but dislikes it when he talks bad about things like Georgia.*
Serbia: They're quite good friends. She finds it easy and pleasant to talk to him and regards him as her “fellow slav” friend though she is not pure Slavic herself.
Switzerland: They get along ok. She found him kinda scary at first but now they’re ok. She still thinks he’s kinda scary though…
Turkey: Not that close to him too but she enjoys his jokes about other people . She finds his mask weird and wants him to take it off.
Vietnam: Vera likes running errands with her. Vietnam is another person she respects. she calls it “lady power”
Belgium: They get along well. She like her fashion sense and her gossip . She likes Belgium’s waffles and gives Belgium her own food in return.
Liechtenstein: Vera finds her adorable and enjoys talking to her. They get along really well.
Taiwan: She enjoys Taiwan’s company and even if they’re not that close. Vera wishes that they’d be closer friends.
Ukraine: She admires Ukraine like an older sister and has learnt a great deal of things from her. She likes talking to Ukraine because she thinks that she’s easy to relate to and really nice. Since Ukraine is Russia’s older sister, Vera finds it funny when the two (or with Belarus) have a mini quarrel.
Greece:* They are good friends and can relate to each other well. She likes talking to him about things regarding politics because they usually take the same side.
Estonia:* They get along fine even if Russia doesn’t seem to like him and Estonia doesn’t seem to like Russia either. She likes talking to him too.
Philippines: She likes the Philippines and finds her really cool and strong. She believes that nothing can wipe of the smile on Philippines’ face and she finds that fact funny too.
South Korea: She finds it cool that one of his cities will host the winter Olympics after her and hope it goes well. She thinks he’s funny but sometimes his jokes don’t make sense. She likes his food.
-The * stuff (Iwilljustexplainafewstuff)-
The 1st * - (why the Georgia thing) Sochi used to be part of Georgia (and also the capital of Circassia) Russia and Georgia don’t really get along from what I know…
The 2nd and 3rd * - (why I put Estonia and Greece there) Estonia has some little territory/village in Sochi city and Greeks used to inhabit the Sochi area before.
I sorta based the relations on real life and the countries relations to Russia in general and some of my own interpretations…
I hope its ok *she wears leggings because its funny to run around in a skirt and all + she can always take off the skirt while running errands and be in the uniform and leggings... hehe* the comic is so weird ;a;
Ahhh, this is really cute! Just some tips though: keep in mind she is a dweller and limited to where she can go. There's nowhere she can actually go fishing or swimming, nor are there resorts or spas - of course, she may have heard of them and have a longing to go there, but there's no way she actually could go. Of course, limitations like this can give many of the characters a lotta angst over the things they wish they could do, which is fun--//slapped
In any case, thanks a bunch for entering! <3
also don't forget that the contest rules involves faving the contest journal and advertising it, ahaha
